 Bobby Hull, byname of Robert Marvin Hull, Jr., (born Jan. 3, 1939, Point Anne, Ont., Can.), Canadian skilled ice hockey participant, notably for the National Hockey League (NHL) Chicago Black Hawks from 1957 to 1972. His swinging slap shot made him considered one of hockey’s dominant scorers in his time.

At age 12 Hull was enjoying organized hockey on a workforce along with his father. He was placed on the Black Hawks’ negotiating listing, and thereafter he performed novice hockey with monetary help for his schooling by the membership. He dropped out of St. Catherines (Ont.) Collegiate School to affix the Black Hawks in 1957, at first enjoying centre however later ahead. He performed with the Jets from 1972 to 1979 (serving as player-coach from 1972 to 1974), and within the 1974–75 season he scored 77 targets. He returned to the NHL when the Jets—together with three different WHA franchises—had been absorbed into the league in 1979. He performed 18 video games with the Jets earlier than being traded to the Hartford Whalers, and he retired after the 1979–80 season.


His last totals included 610 NHL targets, 560 assists, and 1,170 factorswithin the WHA, 303 targets, 335 assists, and 638 factors. During his NHL profession he registered 50 or extra targets in 5 seasons, and he had 4 such seasons within the WHA. In 1983 he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. His son Brett Hull additionally was an excellent participant within the NHL and was himself inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009.
