Luis Aparicio biography
Luis Aparicio, byname Little Louie or Little Looie, (born April 29, 1934, Maracaibo, Venezuela), Venezuelan baseball participant who was identified for his excellent fielding, velocity on the bottom paths, and sturdiness. Aparicio appeared in 2,581 video games at shortstop, a report in American skilled baseball that stood for greater than three many years.
The son of a baseball participant in Latin America, Aparicio started his profession in 1953 within the Venezuelan League, changing his father at shortstop for the Maracaibo Gavilanes (“Sparrowhawks”). Signed by the Chicago White Sox, he entered their minor league farm system in 1954 and commenced enjoying as a significant leaguer in 1956. Aparicio was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, in 1984, the one Venezuelan-born participant to realize the honour.
